Vixcroft Purchases the Nicholsons Centre, Maidenhead for £37million

March 2015 - London-based asset manager, property development, and finance company, Vixcroft, has purchased the 200,000 square ft Nicholsons Centre in Maidenhead  from Irish Life for £37 million.

Occupying the former Nicholsons Brewery site, which closed in 1960, the 200,000sq ft centre with an adjoining 792 space car park, is one of the most important retail elements in the affluent commuter town of Maidenhead.

Commenting on the purchase, Daniel Carter, chief executive of Vixcroft said: “Key to the Nicholsons’ success is Vixcroft’s track record in turning around ailing centres and making them viable, vibrant places for all those who depend on them – local residents, shoppers, visitors, leisure users, occupiers as well as its investors”.

Under the guidance of Vixcroft’s highly skilled and experienced team, the Nicholsons will undergo a major turnaround with new stores opening and extensive improvements being undertaken.

“Partnering is an important principle for Vixcroft,” says Daniel Carter “and we look forward to driving transformation by working with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to provide a new, quality and bigger car park to augment the town centre, and a new, high quality continuous link between High Street and the railway station via the planned “Landing” project.”
