H&M opening at Vixcroft’s Nicholsons Centre, Maidenhead generates interest from national retailers
June 2016 - Following the opening of the two storey, 17,700 sq ft H & M store in the Nicholsons Shopping Centre in Maidenhead in early May, centre owner and manager, Vixcroft reports that several national retailers are interested in taking units at the centre.
The first of these retailers to be announced is Smiggle, the child’s stationery store, which will take a 1,200 sq ft unit on High Street Mall on a 10 year lease. Smiggle is set to open at the end of July.
Commenting on H&M opening and the interest it has generated from retailers, Vixcroft, chief executive, Daniel Carter said: “This is a massive vote of confidence for the Nicholsons centre and Maidenhead. In the two weeks since H&M has opened we have seen footfall increase by 5% and we are keen to continue to attract retailers to the centre. We are in advanced negotiation with a number of well known brands and hope to confirm their presence very soon.”
Nicholsons centre manager, Jane Wright added: “The opening of H&M and its trading success demonstrates the confidence retailers have in the centre and to its revitalisation.”
